Fall Sunset

I couldn't help but get this picture the other night. It looks like cotton candy! I just love the sunsets in the fall.

Doctor's Notes

Well, good news! I went to the Dr yesterday. She said that I am healing and everything looks great. She has encouraged me to try and get as healthy as I can be before getting pregnant again. But also recommends me not waiting too long to try again! So Jimmy and I are gonna do some soul searching, change our eating habits and get outside and exercise. A lot of difficult things at one time. But as always, take one day at a time! I am praying daily for us to learn from this and keep on trying. That is all we can do. Have a great weekend and hopefully I will have some new pictures soon to post instead of words! Just kidding. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. :)

Update

Well, I am getting better. I know it will be time. I returned to work on Tuesday. The ladies I work with are such a blessing. They help me soo much. They know that I can't lift anything and they help a lot. Anyway, I had bloodwork done to make sure the HCG(pregnancy hormone) count is going down and it is. I go back next Friday for a check up with the Dr that did my surgery. Please pray for us. Jimmy tends to be having a hard time with the loss. I do have my moments though, too.

Some things change.

I just want everyone to know what's going on. I ended up going to the ER on Wed night. Long story short....They diagnosed me with an ectopic pregnancy. That is the sac outside of the uterus. They decided to go in and do surgery in the early AM yesterday to find my fallopian tube had ruptured due to the sac trying to grow inside it. They removed the tube and here I am. I do have my other tube. Along with 2 healthy ovaries, so we can get pregnant again. I am home for a few days. Can go back to work on Monday if my body allows. Please pray for us.
I love ya'll!

Got to love family reunions

Jimmy and I went to one of his family reunions today in Early Branch. I just love it in the beautiful country. The first picture is Jimmy, me, his Great Aunt Bet, her daughter Randy and Randy's husband Andy.
The next picture is the beautiful driveway covered by pecan trees.
The next is a lonely cow taking a swim, rather wading in the pond. I wished I could've been in that pond. It was a little warm in the sun. Where is fall?
And the last picture is Jimmy and I standing by an old tree, in the Searson Cemetary. I was asking him if he knew where his Great grands were buried. Guess what? We found them.
It was a wonderful day in God's country!
Hope all has a great weekend.
By the way, still feeling good!

Exciting News

Well, some already know, but some don't. Jimmy and I are expecting our first child. I found out a week ago. I have yet to blast it on myspace, due to the fact that I don't want EVERYBODY knowing, and it is still early. We have spread the word to people, and you know how good news travels! According to the whole last period thing, I would be like 6-7 weeks. Well the dr told me on Monday from an ultrasound internally, that it looks like I am about 4 weeks. We have been trying for about 4 months now, and to sum it all up, I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) so I have been on some medication to get things going, So praise the Lord, it worked! So I have another appointment in a week, so we shall see. All I can say is pray for us.

Spinach Dip Recipe

This is one of my favorite recipes. It is spinach dip made from Knorr's Vegetable Recipe Mix.
I will give directions according to the package with one exception. Southern cooks use Duke's mayonnaise!!!

Knorr Spinach Dip

1 package (10 oz.) baby spinach, chopped or 1 package (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed
and squeezed dry - I use frozen
1 container (16 oz.) sour cream
1 cup Duke's mayonnaise
1 package Knorr Vegetable recipe mix
1 can (8 oz.) water chesnuts, drained and chopped (optional)
3 green onions, chopped (optional)
Combine all ingredients and chill about 2 hours.
Serve with your favorite dippers.

I have made this with everything, without the onions, without the chesnuts. Just depends on what I have on hand and if it is for me or an occasion! I have also hollowed out a round piece of bread and put the dip in there and it makes a nice presentaion. Serve with the pieces of bread hollowed out, or chips. Whatever you like. Enjoy!
